Xbox 360 Ban Wave Continues.

With reports of further console bannings yesterday, Microsoft has taken the piracy fight out of North America, and into Europe. Yesterday, many modded xbox users from the region were banned from Xbox Live for violating TOS by modifiying their Xbox 360’s. After earlier last week a wave of the U.S. 360 users were banned, it seems that no one is safe from the long reach of Microsofts ban hammer.

Upon doing some research (googling), it appears that Microsoft has the pirates confused at this point. Many people that have played their modified systems with games that were deemed “safe” and undetectable by microsoft were still banned. This being the case it is unknown at this point how MS is detecting the modified boxes, or other vioaltions of the TOS. Scrambling to find a reason behind many theories can be found on the subject with a quick google search, none with which I know enough about to make a reasonable argument. But, it seems that Microsoft is closing the loopholes that have allowed piracy to afflict the Xbox 360.

Street Fighter 4 Tourney....

So the other day a friend of mines (shout out to MrCapcom!!!) invited me to a SF4 tourney that a friend of his was having. The prize.... $50 & bragging rights. The cost....$Free.99!!! Why? Cuz the host was so confident that he put up his own $50! Over all it was a GREAT TIME! There was a bunch of people there of various skill levels. My first fight I chose my usual main Balrog, which received a mixed reaction from the crowd. It seemed like 1/2 were thinking "he picked Balrog.... oh he must be a scrub", & the other half were thinking "he picked Balrog! Oh he must be a pro!". LOL! This made me nervous cuz the truth is some where in between. I do have madd skillz with Rog....but until that night I had not played SF4 in about 4 or 5 months. So I was crazy rusty and my timing was off on my advanced combos. Still I held my own with basic strategy.

Ran through the first 2 rounds fairly easily, as did MrCapcom. However in the 3rd round I was up against the host....who is one of the best Gen players Ive ever seen on SF4. Needless to say I got pwned! As did everyone else! (MrCapcom lost in the 3rd round too) LOL! And the host went on to win the Tourney in the end. After wards we played some good old arcade style winner-keeps-playing matches. I went on a good 4 or 5 winning streak! Which made me feel better about loosing in the 3rd round of the Tourney. LOL

Cant wait until some one has another. Im thinking of hosting one myself. Any way here is video of me getting PWNED by Will the champ. (Ironically enough my name is Will too & I used to be a pro with Gen on the Alpha series. LOL) Sadly they did not youtube any of my victories. : - ( But I'll swallow my pride and post this any way. LOL!

An official announcement was made on September 28, 2009, along with a spring 2010 release date, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Having been deemed as too large an update to be deployed as DLC, the game was made into a stand-alone title, but is intended to carry a price tag lower than that of a full retail game. Capcom also hinted at bonus features for people who already own Street Fighter IV.

Well according to GameStop the official release date is 3/23/10! (My birthday BTW! LOL!)

The game is planned to feature eight additional characters, as well as tweaks and changes to the existing ones, such as new ultra combos, Tourney lobbies with the ability to watch between fights (similar to Marvel VS Campcom 2's lobby system) . Among the added characters are T. Hawk and Dee Jay, (completing the whole Super Street Fighter II cast) who were initially intended to be in the original Street Fighter IV but later dropped. Also revealed was Juri, an all new character. A Korean Tae Kwon Do fighter, Juri works as a spy for Seth's organization, S.I.N., and has a ki-boosting device implanted into her left eye, called the "Feng Shui Engine".

Who will the other 5 characters be? Who knows... rumors have said more from the Alpha series such as Adon, Guy, etc. Either way Im looking forward to it!!!!

Problems with Sinanju... :- (

This kit is HARD!!!!!!!!! LOL! This is only my 2nd kit ever. (my first being a HG EVA-004 unit) I've done all the basic painting, but for the detail painting (gold) on Sinanju, I keep messing up. I think I need a finer tipped brush.

Any way if you have any tips, hints, advice, etc it would be greatly appreciated! Here's a video of what I'm talking about.

New York Anime Festival 2009 Review & Highlights

Went to the 2009 New York Anime festival... had a great time! Madd props to Mr Capcom for giving me a ride there and kicking it with me. Heres a review and some of the pix & video we took from the festival. I cant wait till the next convention so I can try my hand @ cosplay. LOL
